A New Year’s plea to those who support the old regime
We are a nation of rules and the rules are boring. Embrace that. In times of difficulty, go with the boring option. When faced with a frightening crisis, tamp it down with ultra-boring moves. No matter what, stick with the rules.
I can’t avoid talking about Donald Trump but I’m going to make it brief. I know you don’t like him; neither do I. But let’s assume he’s only a politician. He’s not Hitler, Godzilla or the Beast of the Apocalypse—just a guy with a loud mouth and a desperate need for attention. Most Americans think of him that way.
So sure, there's a person who didn't follow rules and did some outrageous things, like give away classified info to foreign governments and steal classified materials and show them to random people and kept them in the bathroom and whatnot, but this isn't about him, it's about you. We are a nation of rules, and you should always stick with the rules.
While maybe there was a person who had a clear conflict of interest in holding a government office and profited from it and tried to illegally withhold congress approved aid to another nation for help in possibly fraudulently prosecuting a US citizen for personal gain but you should focus on boring things and no matter what, you should stick with the rules.
This isn't about him, this about you. So you need to follow the rules and be nice and focus on boring things because this is about you and your behavior.
Who showed classified documents? Gonna need a cite for that.
I agree. Biden has profited from his ties to the government. He tried to withhold aid until they removed the prosecutor investigating his son.
What's funny is how confidently you comment on things you obviously didn't read and don't understand.
It would be easy enough for you to check if I'm lying or not, I won't bother to post links cuz I know you won't read em. But since you asked so nicely, -and for anyone reading this who isn't aware- it's pretty well documented that Trump told Anthony Pratt, an Australian, a bunch of details about US nuclear submarines he shouldn't have shared. Pratt turned around and repeated everything he had heard to just about anyone who would listen.
Kid Rock told Tucker Carlson in an interview that He and Trump were "looking at maps and shit" and Kid Rock had the presence of mind to ask "Should I be in on this shit?"
Anyway this isn't about him and if you had read the article posted by OP you would know this isn't about him. I really want to encourage you to try reading articles before commenting on them, it would make discussion better for everyone.
Is English a second language for you? If another language would be easier for you, please let me know and I can translate the part you didn't understand.
