The witnesses and Republicans on the panel argued that more bank records from Biden and his son Hunter Biden are needed to determine whether a crime might have been committed.

House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, called it “a tale as old as time. Politician takes action that makes money for his family and then he tries to conceal it.”
As above, during that time frame, Joe Biden wasn't an elected official, hence not a politician. Jordan's quip should instead read, "Person takes action that makes money for his family, and there's nothing wrong with that."
And that's only if the allegations they're making are true.
