  • Can someone with more knowledge than me explain what the issue was with this guy? Not the applauding of Rubiales, before that.

    • Why did so many players not want to play for him?

    • Why did nobody seem to like him even though he guided the team to the World Cup?

    • Why has he been sacked when the men's manager (who also applauded Rubiales) has not?

    When I first heard about the players refusing to play for him, my instinct was to sympathise with him, especially when Spain were doing so well. It seemed to me like players not being professional and just doing their best for the coach.

    However, I'm guessing there's much more to it than that?
