Not sure if I'm disingenuous, I'm really trying to discuss in good faith.
If we keep the analogy here, what is the wheat? Who was going to summarize those articles anyway? Is this project taking anyone's income away?
I used the tractor analogy because for me this project is a help to summarize articles, which otherwise has to be done by everyone on their own. But curious to hear what your vision is.

I had a quick look, it's a story about humans vs machines? Shouldn't you then not use Lemmy, your phone, the Internet? All of those rely on machines to operate

Now compare Lemmy, a phone, or the Internet to "a machine in the likeness of a human mind".
Dune is full of machines. It just lacks machines that think. Which we do too, but the things they're trying to push as thinking are already causing extreme damage to our culture, so ... time for the Butlerian Jihad before things get so bad you need an existential war to fix them.
But a bot summarizing a text isn't "thinking", is it?
