Fallout is really interesting in that it has very deep lore, that Lore was organically built over time, but it was fairly consistent. I would say more akin to Lord of the rings type of already established universe.
Most video game adaptations have some lore but it's not very deep. I think it's a great opportunity for a creative team to explore the lore and get lots of love for it, but it also comes with the risk that if the lore isn't respected it could cost a bunch of Goodwill
Can't wait for the Elden Ring Amazon Prime show, I'm sure the normies will love seeing that lore expanded, and GoT has taught us that tv creators are very skilled at handling long, complex, dense works (with heavy input from GRRM).
If they get Vaati and Quelaag both they won't even need writers, the series could be like an anthology. Each season, pick a different interpretation of the lore to expound on, use all the same actors, 300 seasons, 1 million episodes, easy.
