Top House Democrat calls on Biden to pardon ‘working-class Americans’
  • The Forbes Article that you linked me to 7 comments up the chain says "He can extend clemency to every person still serving time for federal cannabis offenses, many of whom have already spent decades behind bars."

They might have a good point if they mean what is implied and not what they are explicitly saying.

  • Never gonna give you up!
  • Plus, it's really not worth the problems associated with brain chips. Even the Neuralink Human Test subjects ran into the same problem we've faced for decades: the connecting tissue dies. It might work for a few months and then people are going to need ANOTHER brain surgery to either remove it or fix it, if it even works multiple times to begin with.

I wonder who they're going to name the disease after when repeated Nueralink failures cause irreparable lifelong disease.

  • If you release every single person with cannabis related offenses then you're going to release people with many other crimes as well. Rather than putting words in their mouth I'm pointing out their stance is subjectively bad with the low number of words they are using.

I have to be critical of this because the world we live in absolutely has people who would release every single person, unironically.

  • No, I'm expressing the nuance that I wouldn't support immediate release of everyone whose crimes include but explicitly are not limited to Weed. I'm just expressing nuance. I think people with multiple crimes should be considered for commuting sentences or parole but I don't think releasing them all as a blanket statement is uh... sane.

That's not Tone. That's having a different stance altogether, unless they're simply failing to convey their stance.

  • Billionaires Are Lying Shamelessly to Convince Us To Destroy Our Government
  • Putin's been in power for like 20 years, and despite putting the Russian people through hell these last two years and an actual coup attempt he's still going strong. Arguably you could say things didn't really change much even after Joseph Stalin died in 1953, aside from secession of several nations outside of central Russia, that it's all just one big continuation of the same system.

  • Billionaires Are Lying Shamelessly to Convince Us To Destroy Our Government
  • And the Tankies and Anarchists both are cheering them on despite bullshitting to themselves that they're opposed to the Billionaires.

A planet overfull of people in the Age of Information and we've got Billions of fucking Rubes.

  • YEET
  • Idk what you think trajectory means but they know the angle the steel cap shot off at and they know the angle and distance from which the high speed camera viewed it. There is no room for ambiguity, they calculated the minimum speed. There are no outside forces that could have curved the shot, either. An 900kg object going any number of kilometers per second won't be effected by windspeed for example.

You're just making an ass of yourself, speaking nonsense.

  • Old Wacom PTH-851 Is Pretty Much Irrepairable

The Intuos Pro Large of old is a drawing tablet without a video screen, with the leading DPI standard in the market at the time. Problem is, even if it was nice and valuable while new, the pens for these things are all held together by a flimsy cheap black plastic ring cone with 0 heat resistance, so once it inevitably cracks all of the internals of the pen will fall out. The plastic piece is hard to replace or 3D print due to it's small size, and there are two extremely tiny springs that are also difficult to source.

On top of that, the Tablet Surface itself is difficult to source as Wacom usually doesn't sell them anymore, so they're always covered in marks and scratches due to being too soft a material.

So a device that might sell for $65 in "like new" condition requires buying a new pen stylus sold for $65 and a surface not sold at all. This has led online marketplaces to be filled with the scrap heaps missing one or both of the above necessary parts.

I am a lucky owner of one of these scrap heaps. Any ideas on what I should do with it other than throw it out? Might be fun to disassemble for practice. Maybe even video content-worthy.

Thanks for stopping by and giving this a read, stranger.

Anybody recommend any WYSIWYG builders that don't restrict you?

    My requirements are thus:

    1. Works offline

    2. Code is not obfuscated, does not have tons of added dependencies and libraries. I'm trying to speed up codewriting, not replace it completely.

    3. Is not a virus

    4. Generates files which can be hosted anywhere.

Unfortunately that seems to disqualify pretty much everything I've been able to find with a regular search engine. It would be nice, wouldn't it? To just have a photo-editor like program to throw a layout together, a list of divs and content, and another panel showing all the properties where you can set pixels or percentages, lock it in for non-flexible or leave it auto adjusting. Have them inherit properties from like a custom composition.

Is there such a thing as an unsafe router which is still unsafe after installing OpenWRT?

For example, privacy violating linksys or netgear, or devices with components running improper firmware with a 14 year old vulnerability?

The reason that I ask, although I don't want this to impact the quality of answers, is that I'm shopping for a new router that is secure and private but rather than paying commercial and industrial prices I would rather get a consumer router and overwrite it's software.
