How about giving some leeway if they have indicated the intent to fully federate? Say, if they don't support bidirectional federation with 6 months (?), they will be defederated provisionally until they do. That way, we're still taking their declared intent in good faith, but not being a pushover.
The D's seem intent on trying to not win future elections. It's almost starting to seem like it's their raison d'être.
That's why they changed it to "Do the right thing [for the shareholders]."
Ah, right, this is just the nominations. :)
Well, the article says they were in QA, sooo I guess we're the QA now, and they can just slap an early access label on everything.
Hmm, I probably should have read the detailed description before I filled it out, as I totally would have put Apothecary and Frieren above most of the anime that began airing this year. Oops.
While I'm personally inclined to agree with drag that that was quite clearly answering a question and not an imperative, I also don't think that it should be frowned on to protect the instance one moderates from potentially being taken down.
Lemmy is still (relatively) small enough that it can fly under the radar, but that's not going to last forever.
I thought we say: we need more flesh for the prison-industrial complex.
Although, sentence length doesn't seem to be correlated to deterrence, that doesn't mean the inevitability of imprisonment isn't a legitimate deterrent at all. For example, the belief that there's a high likelihood of getting caught does increase deterrence.
It's kinda ironic that you have to drive slower because you're half blind, which will end up in the trucknuts enjoyer being slowed as well.
Hypothetically, is there a specific number of billionaires that would have to be executed to have some sort of impact? IMO, even if the rich have just a little incentive not to be the most egregious profiteers, it'll make some impact.
I missed Technician's comment, so it took me a second, but yes, much better.
It's almost like the same people who own the mainstream media will also profit from a Trump presidency.
Whoa there, just because my God is a giant ball of spaghetti, who touches us all with Their noodley appendage, doesn't mean They're not God. It's only the stinky atheists who don't have a real religion. Well, maybe the agnostics too, but I'm not sure.
My pasta themed X-mas decorations stay.
Haha, yeah, I was just being silly and having a little fun. :)
Although, learning all the meanings certainly does get overwhelming at times, especially when combinations of individual kanji characters can have substantially different meanings and readings than they do on their own!
I'm Spartacus!
That's a good question. I could see that there might be a lot of downward pressure to find this guy and make an example of him. Maybe they were just happy to find a patsy to take some of the pressure off.
What the heck is a sun truth language, anyways? :)
I'm in the process now, and you're definitely not wrong!
I think drag may be missing the point. Those are not that user, they are impersonating that user, thus the bans. Also, dessalines isn't simply a user. They're an admin and one of the main developers of Lemmy.
Indian dins! Daal, Aloo Gobi, and Tofu Makahni on Kuska (Biryani) Rice
I've been learning to cook all sorts of Indian recipes lately. The samosa are store bought, cuz who has time for that. Everything else is made from scratch. I'll probably get around to makeing my own samosas too, some day.
Will post recipes if anyone is interested. ^^
NY-ish style pizza
A riff on the classic NY style pizza. Obviously with all the extra toppings, and a cheddar style "cheese", it's not in any way accurate, but it's what I happened to have on hand.
Dough & Sauce:
- Adam Ragusea's NY Style Pizza v2 [Content Warning: recipe is not fully vegan. It contains cow milk.]
"Cheese":
- Smoked cheddar style vegan grating block
Toppings:
- Red onion, mushroom, vegan sausage, fresh basil
