  • The alien story fills in a bit of back story for the weirdest contestant they're ever had...

The secret task is finally revealed! And it's basically where I thought it would be. And it all worked out nicely, even with Sue getting the hat.

Everyone here thought the lucky task would have a twist where you lost points for doing the unlucky versions, but nope. We did guess that the "lucky coin" would be double-sided since that's exactly how Alex's mind works.

"The umbrella inside the shed" is like Richard Osman's mat on top of the hill.

    Is Flossy Alex's daughter?

    • Weirdest contestant... Sam, Lucy, Sue or Susan, lol?

(I haven't seen it yet, going to soon)

      • Lucy is surely the weirdest, and the one who has most material on the cutting room floor.

        • Lucy is very much like my wife. She's autistic, we both are, and she has trouble with talking too much for some people and being considered "weird" like Lucy is.

I feel really bad for Lucy. During an outtake she told a weird wild story and Greg remarked on it. Lucy then apologized, saying in a low voice "I'm talking too much again" and I caught a glimpse of her wiping tears away.

She's definitely weird, but wonderful with it, I just wish Greg would be a bit more tolerant of the weirdness. But I also admit I'm hugely biased because of how my wife is, and how much it hurts her feelings for people to mock her autistic traits.

Oh BTW this is in no way a dig or snark at you, I'm just being weird and sharing too much as well, lol!

          • this is in no way a dig or snark at you

I didn't take it as that, but I do feel a little bad now... (delayed reply since I'd left the notification up as a reminder to go watch those outtakes and reply to you - still haven't)

Anyway, working in tech I should have made the connection to neurodivergent folk. I know that autism presents differently in women but I don't know that I know anyone in that category. Someone had said she was ADHD which also matches, and it could certainly be a little of both.

I've definitely enjoyed having her on the show, even if she's in no danger of winning.
