On iPhone if someone without an iPhone texts you it shows up as green. It also disabled a bunch of iphone features you can use since they aren't on iPhone.
Essentially weird elitism. It's come up in my dating life.
No lol, two weeks ago I was messaging a girl and she asked if I was using an Android. I was like yeah, it's a galaxy fold. Which seemed to placate her. I believe there's like a vibe of if you don't have an iPhone you're poor or something lol.
Wow. Just wow. Well I guess you dodged a bullet there. (Unless she's your girlfriend now, then I take that back and I'm sure she has amazing qualities nevermind the phone fascism!)
Honestly I thought the green texts refers to those 4chan green texts
That's insane. I can easily afford any device I want - I choose Android due to its more progressive feature set (as in it gets the good shit before apple decides to include it in ios). It amuses me that people would filter me out due to that - it's another self-filter...as it filters out the people who are too narrow minded for me!
I've heard a lot of people say this but personally not experienced many people who actually give much of a shit about what color my texts are.
I think this article proves that green text prejudice is a little overblown. From the amount of complaining I've heard on social media from Android users. I would have guessed the number would be higher than 7%.
As far as I know, I've only been left out of one group message. I Don't need to be friends with people that care what color your bubble is.
I assume they are meaning "When being viewed in imessage, the messages they send are in a green bubble, meaning they are using a non-apple device". Doesn't need to be android, there are other phone OSs.
"Green text" is also slang for a specific writing style on 4chan. If someone just kept sending me text memes from 4chan, that would be a red flag.
