Hello /c/death_metal! I'm not sure what the plans for this community is but I really love the threads in the death metal subreddits and wondering whether there are plans for weekly threads. Here's a few albums I've been listening to a lot recently as they are so good! Definitely a wide mixture of death metal genres.
Allegaeon - DAMNUM
Lorna Shore - Pain Remains
Behemoth - Opvs Contra Natvram
Swallow the Sun - When a Shadow Is Forced Into The Light
Archspire - Bleed The Future
Fleshgod Apocalypse - King
Architects - All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us (more metal core)
I've been on a kick of old death metal/old sounding death metal lately.
Death - Individual Thought Patterns
Necrophagist - Onset of Putrefaction
Blood Incantation - Hidden History of the Human Race
Horrendous - Idol
Should include Immolation in there, but I don't know them well enough to put a specific album. I saw them live recently and they were a lot of fun, so I've been trying to listen more.
Wow that takes me back, haven't listened to old school stuff since I got into death metal a few years ago - I do need to listen to Necrophagist again, I love how technical they are.
I've been listening to Necrophagist - Epitaph since high school, but somehow only discovered onset of Putrefaction recently, so I've been kinda obsessed with it lately. Tech death is definitely my favorite genre!
