I've been here for a couple of weeks or so checking things out. So far so good. Since it looks like we're doing this I wanted to say hi to everyone who's migrating or just perusing.
I'm pretty early on in my programming/arduino career, but I'm developing a temperature sensor and alarm system for my pipes in my home. It will monitor the temperature of the pipes inside the house, outside (exposed to the elements), and just below ground level but above the frost line. I would prefer to use LED indicator lights and audio alarm instead of an LCD for a more "low-tech" look. Adding some annunciator check functions will help with testing the sensor periodically as well. It would help me monitor the temps of my water supply pipes during this winter and alert me if things get too chilly. Very excited to develop something that will make a real difference in my life. Maybe I'll add a SIM in the future as well.
