Please, Nintendo, just leave them alone this time.
I read in another article many players were not updating TOTK so they could preserve duplication glitches. This is looking like whack-a-mole to patch them anyway.

Duping works up through 1.1.1 and the duping glitches available are much faster and more convenient than the ones we've found for 1.1.2, so it's possible.
That said, most of the speedrunning community is focused on 1.0-1.1.1 so there are probably more methods in 1.1.2 that we simply haven't found yet.
