Google has detailed a new smartphone technology that could put the company’s Google Pixel smartphones one step ahead of iPhones and Samsung Galaxy handsets.
A recent patent application is suggesting that Google is going to replace the notch with an under-display front-facing camera in future Pixel phones.
I feel indifferent about this, on one hand its great to have even a tiny bit of screen real-estate back, on the other hand I expect the quality to look awful unless there's been a major development with under display cameras.
Personally I think I prefer the display cutout or pop-up cameras until they improve the quality.
