I had seen posts like this circulating before so I tried to track them down:

Some of these posts suggest they are using the pictures of someone else on purpose. Some say they're a bot. I personally haven't gotten these messages but I don't get DM's so that's probably why. I'm pretty positive this is some kind of Honeypot scam. Either way I wouldn't trust it.
I've gotten 3 or 4 separate PMs from different alts of this account (same username but different instances) over at least a month now.
I just got one today. My lemmy client couldn't even delete it or read it's notification. Kinda hoping thats a bug if this is going to be a thing
