What is your greatest Minecraft Sin?

I'll go first. I strongly prefer Bedrock to Java and actively dislike the Java edition.

Edit: To clarify my reasoning(copied from a reply I made: Bedrock has a few features that I find to be really nice, and make Minecraft a much nicer experience for me

  • Better performance(I'm aware of sodium)
  • Simple Crossplay
  • One-Click modding API
  • Starting a world on my realm on my PC, and then continuing on my switch in bed
  • Split screen for when I have friends over to play on Console
  • .mcworld files make world management and creating backups really easy

I'm also well aware of bedrock's issues. The things that bother me:

  • Shitty offhand
  • The marketplace
  • Chat being mobile oriented so it takes up the entire screen

But overall, I've just kinda learned to really enjoy bedrock, and playing Java just feels like a hassle to me. I should also clarify that I am mainly a Vanilla player. I rarely dabble with mods. My experience with modding was ruined by needing the twitch app to install mods a few years ago.

  • Op ur objectively wrong. Please elaborate.

Mine might be that I bing q to o and swap shift and sprint. I also enjoy writing hacked clients (I guess thats what 2b2t does to u tho)

    • I also enjoy writing hacked clients

That's normal for any anarchy Player. I was a hardcore 6b6t and OldFrog Player.

    • Sure! I have a few

performance has come at the small cost of some awful awful bugs, random deaths messed up chunk gen, redstone is a disaster etc.

        Simple Crossplay

If u run the Java version on other devices this isn't an issue (Microsoft true really hard to stop u doing this)

        One-Click modding API

Except they no longer provide the debug symbols to allows modern to hook in easily. They have absolute control of mod distribution.

Starting a world on my realm on my PC, and then continuing on my switch in bed

Jailbreak or switch and run Java or get a steamdeck

Split screen for when I have friends over to play on Console

Their are Java mods to do this + classic console L

.mcworld files make world management and creating backups really easy

A .mcworld file is literally just a renamed zip of the world files if people can't figure out how to go right click > zip folder that's their problem

Not to mention that bedrock is activly making Java shitter. See copper bulb drams (dev told us single tick functionality was intentional then they reverted it cos bedrock redstone is so buggy they couldn't make it work).

Micro transactions, pay to win servers being the norm, some words are sensored (like even most swear words including those that are pretty much harmless), buggy gameplay, shit and limited modding support. Rampant examples of people stealing peoples free or foss content putting it on the marketplace and profiting themselves and Microsoft illegally of other peoples hard work. Also Microsoft rebranding to try make bedrock the main version where they have and are enshitifying. Microsoft has full control of what mods, textures packs, skins etc etc can even be used its a walled garden compared to Java.

Its so frustrating playing Java get a cool feature to play with in a snapshot then getting told nar fuck you bedrock can't make it work.
