As of today it's still clunky and people are not used to not having account and managing cryptographic keys so too early, the fediverse is a nice middleground in my opinion.
Bluesky is WAY better than Twitter. It's still vulnerable to the same issues Twitter is, but someplace with no nazis is always going to be better than someplace with nazis.
