That mexico threat doesn’t mean a war, but if you threaten another nato country, you’re gonna have your ass handed to you.
If the USA invaded Canada, Canada would not be able to defend itself. Thankfully that idea has been unthinkable for a long time, but as the USA goes fascist, climate change kicks in and the water starts to run out, I could see that changing one day.
If the US attempted to invade another NATO country, the weight of NATO would come down. The US is not in a position to take over allied countries.
Mexico, on the other hand, would be like Russia invading Ukraine.
None of this is good for the people.
What is the weight of NATO without the USA? Especially against the USA?

20% of the fresh water in the world (not counting ice blocks) is in the Great Lakes, which divide the U.S. and Canada, fresh water I doubt would be a worry for either.
Aren't most of the middling to good lakes increasingly polluted to the point where they're not suitable for drinking water, though?
I mean I know I've pissed in the St. Lawrence dozens of times, but I'm sure that's flushed out by now.
I'm sure there is some pollution, but it has to be easier to sanitize that water than to start with ocean water.
