16 0 ReplyJerboa is technically First party. Doesn't brand itself as the Lemmy app though.
5 0 ReplyDon't care. I'm not installing another app. It's a website, it should work in a browser.
6 1 ReplyLemmy is an api. A website is just another app here. Besides, there are other web interfaces you could use. Have you tried any?
5 0 ReplyIs there a way to switch UI without switching the server. I do not like the web UI, I got used to old Reddit + RES.

What kinds of problems have you ran into using Lemmy in a browser on the phone? I use Firefox and set it to "desktop mode" and haven't had any issues.

5 0 ReplyI'm sure there's a hacky workaround for every complaint I might have, I've done a lot of those over the years and I don't see that stopping any time soon. I'm just tired of having to fix things before I can use/enjoy them. Effort is a limited resource. It's current year, shit should just work.

Those are projects that cooperate with each other, not "hacky" solutions.
They offer services free of charge while respecting at every possible level your rights to privacy, I believe your "limited resource" will understand.
