Hi I’m creating a car community for people that enjoy the following noises:
Brapppppp
Stustustu
Pshhhhhh
, totally not because cars don’t fit under transport community considering the anti-car attitude there
Car enthusiasts, what do you wish to see being discussed on the car community? I can think of the following:
Car Memes
Car Reviews and Discussion
Car Purchase decisions?
EV Discussion
Car Mods and Restoration
Owners Review?
Personal opinion pieces?
And also, non-car enthusiasts do you see yourself subscribing if you’re not interested in cars? If no, what can make you participate on a regular basis?
Will also need volunteers to mod. Tho it should be easy given the traffic on monyet.cc is fairly low, will be even lower on a niche community.
Maybe you can try UK recon? Just make sure it’s an ND2 lol. ND1 2.0L is very half baked, really rushed when they developed it and only 6800rpm redline and a lot less power
Also, if your concern is weight, and you really have struggle finding soft top, there’s always the option of changing to lighter forged wheels like TC105X, the unsprung mass shaved should be equivalent to the perceived savings of 40kg~ of sprung mass
To be clear, !transport is not anti-car, it's pro-public transport and cycling. To promote public transit, cycling, and other modes of transportation, I feel that de-emphasizing cars is unfortunately required.
If I allow car talks like new models/make, mods etc. there those will dominate the discussions on the community, and reinforces the idea that you need to have a car to go anywhere, totally defeating the aforementioned goals.
Plus, I think enthusiasts-specific discussions are better done on their own communities anyway, not just cars, but trains, motorcycles, bicycles, etc as well. Folks who are into those sorts of things are welcomed to create communities for those. :)
Lastly, !transport allows posts on highways and traffic as it's used by all, including people on public transport (e.g. city buses and intercity coaches). (EDIT: ride-sharing and e-hailing topics are also allowed.)

sorry, I should have clarified myself - anti-car discussions* as in discussions about cars are forbidden and understandably so. I did mention that it is not suitable to host such content over there, people that are super passionate about public transport will not be the type of people that enjoy car ownership experience or even driving.
By the way, does !transport allow news about ride sharing, or news about the e-hailing space in Malaysia in general, given how it's a popular form of transportation?
