Anyone found any active basic Bullet Journaling communities?
Title says it all really and the WH Common Room seems like a good place to ask.
I'm looking for the Fediverse equivalents of r/bujo, r/basicbulletjournals and/or r/minibulletjournals. Lemmyverse.com doesn't seem to have any communities showing activity. I'm only really interested in productivity based bullet journalling. Not art based.
I mostly remember getting confused about which subreddit was for what and had way too many stickers in my feed. 🤔 I'm not sure if there are enough users yet, but we could certainly try to start a new community.
To be clear, I only loosely bullet journal so wouldn't have much to contribute.
r/bujo and r/basicbulletjournals were very similar and limited strictly to productivity based bullet journalling. Artsy stuff being presented for the sake of the art was not tolerated. r/minibulletjournals didn't have such rules but in a passport or A6 sized notebook people were very restricted in what they could do so there was little to no arty posts.
Like many, I feel bullet journalling has been overrun by the art community and it makes the whole process unnecessarily daunting and sets a unrealistic bar for those who want to start out. I respect those that can and want to make their journals pretty, but it should be separate to the actual core intention of the process.
Honestly, I do use my bullet journal loosely myself so wouldn't be a huge contributor either. I do however want to integrate my bullet journal more as my life is much more organized when I do. I found inspiration in seeing how others designed productive layouts especially in the smaller sized notebooks and was hoping to find a community on Lemmy that could scratch that itch. I was reminded to look as there was a discussion about mixing digital and analog organization methods in the Fountain Pen community and the OP there mentioned how they had been put off bullet journalling by seeing overly decorated journals in the past.
