Vance thinks he'll still be the republican VP nominee in October.
He kind of has to be at this point. Most if not all states require the candidates to be finalized by a certain date.
Before too long, they’ll be locked in unless they just want to not run a ticket…
What happens if a nominee dies (but the other person on the ticket lives)?
I have no idea actually…
Typically the party appoints someone through their own nominating process. There is a way of doing that but saying “we just don’t like this guy no more” isn’t really an acceptable one.
