Question about flower seeds: What genotypes do they have?
Title, basically. I often see the advice to grow flowers from seeds for breeding hybrid colors, because they have identical genotypes, whereas wild flowers have different genotypes even when they're the same color.
But what genotypes do they have? Do they always have a single gene for their color and no genes for the other colors (e.g., a "100" or "r" genotype for a red tulip seed)? Do some flowers differ from this? Is there a list somewhere?
That guide should have what you need scroll down past the Blue Rose notes and there will be a list for each type of flower and what the special island flower types are.
If you're referring to random wildflowers, they could be a mix of a lot of things based on what was near them though, there's a spreadsheet within, that lists all possibilities, but I doubt that would be super helpful.
