It was excavated from the Patuxent Point site, Calvert County, MD. All of the skeletons uncovered (men, women, and children) showed signs of smoking.

Oh wow. The edges of the hole are so round, it looks almost artificial. How long did it take to develop like that, I wonder?
2 0 ReplyI'm guessing it was from a combination of the pipe being made of rough clay and the person grinding their teeth against the pipe, maybe while talking.
