Nintendo fans are kinda weird.
Having seen some of the stuff the fanbases for Undertale, CoD, and Warthunder have done, I'd say its more of a gamer thing then a particular groups fanbase.
Honestly it's fandoms in general, even. Any group that is referred to as a "fandom" generally has people like this in it.
