Question about Edgerunners

I just triggered a side quest that starts with an anime scene in a BD. Should I watch Edgerunners before completing this quest? Does it matter?

The video doesn't have any spoilers but the quest will have a bit more impact if you finish the show first. Also it's awesome so well worth the watch.
