Not a legal expert, but sounds to me the entire case has been mishandled and all charges are to be dropped immediately.
I believe that the judge on the case was married to a healthcare CEO. They'll judge shop as much as necessary to get a conviction.
That’s exactly how it would work if he’d shot a poor person.
