Any ideas how it might restore the backup on signing in without needing your key afterward if it's E2EE? Doesn't this call into question their E2EE claims?
Its Google's version of E2EE. The key is "trust me bro" its encrypted.
Probably part of the export or tied into your device or account fingerprint or something that counts as something you own
