Anyone ever hike in and around the Grand Canyon (Arizona, USA)?

I’d like to do the rim to rim trail sometime in the near future but it certainly sounds like a leg shredder.

I did parts of the south and north rim trails a few years ago, but nothing really intense. Those two trails are either paved or well packed dirt.

I did the hike to the bottom from angels landing with my pops years ago. Lessons learned: spring can be treacherous with snow and ice on the trail. We brought way too much food. It was a great experience though. Dad even sprung for the prepared dinner at the ranch on the canyon floor. Great memories, epic views and a real sense of accomplishment was the true takeaway.

I'd love to try hiking in from the north rim in the future
