I've been lurking for over a year and I finally made an account 🎉
Now that I can customize the communities I see I'm wondering, what communities are you part of/do you recommend?

https://lemmyverse.net/communities is probably the best resource for this. You can also subscribe to [email protected] and similar, to get notified of newly-made communities.
Edit: I guess those were already mentioned, oops.
