Google's Nearby Share for Windows is now out of beta

Nearby Share is a very apt name - it basically describes exactly what the entire point of it is. You can use it to quickly (and easily) share stuff between Android phones, regardless of maker. And starting today, you can use it to share files between Windows PCs and Android devices.

  • That is honestly such a boring name. Google is so terrible at naming things.

    • It's boring, but like someone else mentioned it tells you exactly what it does. So, I don't really see a problem with it.

      • For me, it’s just another sign of how uncreative Google can be. They couldn’t even think of an original name for their folding phone, just copied Samsung’s naming. To me, it’s a little thing that actually indicative of a deeper problem.
