@m_artigiani hello from the threadiverse :) on kbin we have content split up into two categories "threads" and "microblogs". This is under our RedditMigration magazine in the microblogs section. Y'all on mastodon should be able to follow us and engage as normal and even appear in our "threads" section at times (depending on the context of the posts).

I'm curious as the original poster is not on kbin and doesn't mention a kbin group or anything.
@clacke yeah, they used the hashtag #RedditMigration, which is the @RedditMigration magazine has listed as one of the tags to "pull in". here on kbin everything is organized based on magazines which are our "subreddits" and they have a threads section (works like reddit) and a "microblogs" section which has an assortment of mastodon posts (and posts from kbin users as well in this section). the magazine moderators can choose which hashtags to have added to there.
I don't know if a post can be sent to multiple magazines, but when I browse the general "all" section for microblogs, all of the top-level mastodon posts all have a category. most of them end up in @random which is essentially for unsorted/uncategorized posts. but some will just have some particular one. I've added a screenshot to show what this looks like. you can see it just lists the magazine name with it.

I can confirm that posts aren't sent to multiple magazines (yet) and it seems like kbin scans to sort only to the first # or @. And if you post to one magazine with tags meant to be picked up by another that other magazine still won't pick it up.

Ok the answer from my end: no joyMy Malaysian mutuals and I worked out a fedi-specific tag and I tested it on a regional SEAsian mag just set up @magASEAN and my own personal one for my website @myMOAC (which i just set up today).
Idk what's the order of primacy, i think it's just by luck of what gets scanned and sorted into - the younger magazine captured it in the microblog but not the regional one. It's definitely a bug or current limitation. If i can opt to boost to a magazine instead of my own stream that might an acceptable compromise.

@Otome-chan Aha! That's a smart way of doing it, to bridge the general fediverse content into the threadiverse.
Sounds like kbin is very well thought out as a good Fediverse application while still having its unique experience.

Sounds like nothing should be stopping two zones from pulling in the same hashtag, or pulling in a post with some hashtag followed by each of them.
@m_artigiani @tchambers @fediversereport @[email protected] @fediverseobserver Yep. You can follow magazines/communities and I think accounts, and reply to posts, as normal. I'm not sure how one would make a new thread on a magazine/community from Mastodon, though.

@blake I have posted to Lemmy from this account before.
Basically the title would be the paragraph above the paragraphs on the bottom. Everything below the top paragraph gets put into the body of the post.
@gpollara On reddit/kbin threads all the submissions are separate per topic (subreddit on reddit, or magazine here on kbin). Inside of those subreddits/magazines people post relevant content to the topic, like a singular topic/question/thing they wanna share. people then respond to it. Imagine you have a single hashtag for a top-level toot/tweet and you post a singular topic/idea/question related to that. people then can see it in that topic and response.
With mastodon it's as you said, where things are based more on the individual (you follow someone and see their stuff or you don't, and everything's separate). Basically: lemmy/kbin stuff is categorized by topic, mastodon stuff is categorized by person.
