Once upon a time, a film only became a blockbuster based on enthusiastic word of mouth. Movies were released gradually, by territory; if you lived in a rural area, it could be months before you saw "Gone with the Wind" or "Goldfinger".

Agree with some of the movies on here, but Robin Hood Prince of Thieves and Shrek being on the list means it just can’t be taken seriously.
