To TF2 Competitive players - how's competitive?

I've never played competitive before, but I hear it sucks. If you play competitive, how's it actually like?

Depends what you mean by competitive, if you mean Valve's competitive matchmaking, then yea from what I've seen it's awful, otherwise actually community competitive like highlander, sixes and the other formats are pretty fun, I'd reccomend you at least give it a shot at some point.
- I would try community competitive at some point, but yeah I meant Valve's competitive servers.
