I don't know how this is directly relevant, but I feel like sharing. I have a childhood friend that is an ER doc here in US. He tells vents to me about work bullshit every time I see him. The vast majority comes from selfish decisions made by hospital administration. They truly couldn't care less about people/patients. Their only goal is to maximize revenue and limit expenditures. As far as I can tell, the only reason the system hasn't collapsed is because doctors personally take on the ethical responsibility to make sure patients are treated properly. It's scary because if you get a doctor that is having a bad day or high in psychopathy, you're in danger. As a patient, you have no way of knowing if that is the case.
This seems incredibly relevant if you ask me. And its scary as well.
