Technically it's called donghua rather than anime, because it's from China and not Japan. Donghua means 'sparkling animation'. The previous sentence is not true, but it's the same principle as the champagne/sparkling wine nonsense.
Donghua (動畫) more accurately translates to "moving images".
there is, made in China and it kicks ass. (It's available to watch on youtube, or was anyway when I watched it)
