Honestly speaking, employment. Working for money isn't something I envisioned doing, but seems to be a requirement in this dystopian capitalistic society. It takes away from my time, my happiness, and a lot more things. And the little money I get in exchange, I can't even get to do the things I want to do. It's all too depressing. Fuck everything and everyone who supports such a shit ass system. Sorry if people are offended by this, just needed a vent.
Great answer - yung time aspect talaga ng working for money yung di ko din matanggap-tanggap. Doing all this from grad (or even earlier) until retirement age (of choice) or until you drop dead... Imagine instead if we have more time to do things we love instead of the things this conveyor belt world expects from us. But wala, ito na yung nadatnan natin.
Having a high-paying job or a lucrative career. Kahit na pa sabihin natin na sobrang taas ng sweldo at sobrang heavenly ng working conditions, hindi pa rin. Just imagining the responsibilities involved, nakaka-stress na.
While I want to earn enough for myself and a perhaps a person or two, to live comfortably, parang okay lang din siguro kung mamatay ako sa gutom kung ang kapalit naman nun is being to live a stress-free life.
I mean, I guess? But also, having already experienced a prolonged period of eating nothing (tubig lang), I think I can get by. Near the end of the first week, I don't even get hungry anymore, not even after drinking water.
But yeah, I'd rather die of hunger than undergo the stresses of a high-paying yet high-responsibility job/career.
Eating nothing can be beneficial as you are cleaning yourself. I've done this during pandemic, at sobrang gaan sa feeling na parang naging germaphobic ang kalooban ng katawan. Haha
This is what I'm afraid to be at na parang ayaw ko na magpapromote to be honest (increase sahod na lang pwede ba haha). On my industry/tech stack, I know what the next level entails, at recently lang naexperience ko na yung glimpse 😄. I'll earn significantly more and be surely more comfortable than before, pero lagi akong napapaisip kung sulit ba yung magiging trade off.
Concerts. Not only kasi maraming tao but mostly because you're expected to participate otherwise KJ ka. I prefer to sit/stand there in silence, listen, soak it in, and occasionally bob my head.
That's why the only performance I paid for was an Explosions in the Sky gig in Samsung Hall. Konti lang tao and it was post-rock, so instrumental. The freebie shows I went to sa Ayala Malls - Walk The Moon, Owl City, Cobra Starship, Twenty-One Pilots, hindi ko na-enjoy with the crowd singing along from beginning to end and drowning out the vocalist.
Lalo na pag yung pictures ng party ng kamag-anak na hindi mo mahindian. Sabay sasabihin ka pa na suplado kasi di ka nag-cocomment. Parang di ata nila narerealize kung bakit hindi ako umiimik in the first place.
It was a thing, until these smartphones rise up and record everything. What's the point of going to a concert if they're going to record it and trim it to 15-second TikTok content?
Big events like concerts and cinemas were used to grandiose. Smartphones ruined it.
Hmm...online mobile games? Guys my age play CODM or Mobile Legends or Valorant or something along those lines, but I am barely interested in what they are doing. I've played my fair share of online games, though they all were at either my laptop or at an internet cafe PC. Never on my phone. In fact, the only things I can remotely call a game in my phone is a Morse Code Koch trainer, a kanji practice app, and a Reversi/Othello game.
i don't like the whole lottery system idea. pool money from thousands if not millions of people to award it to one or a handful, because luck? it's like taxes, only stupid. then for me to have all that money? parang marumi
if you want to acknowledge and accept a corrupted government that still has plenty of money for legit projects, instill a culture of jueteng
