I downloaded the latest development release of GIMP today to check out the effects layers and it's awesome! Such a happy day for me to edit non-destructively in GIMP! Really looking forward to the stable release :)

I've tried it and I literally jumped out of my seat. Anyway crashed after some time. But the feature was a long waited one. Going to experiment more.
Great isn't it?! I noticed one bug, to do with tooltips. We should help the devs by giving feedback.
