City officials conducted on the spot inspections of several gay bars in downtown Seattle and posted 'Lewd Conduct' violations to three bar owners. Two for jock straps and one for a bartender's exposed nipple. There were no alcohol or other violations found.

This has created an uproar in the city, and nationally in the LGBTQ+ covering press. City officials say, it's the law, they must enforce it. Patrons and LGBTQ+ community members say it feels like selective targeting of their community for absurd reasons.
