Audiomack is a youth-driven, artist-first music streaming platform that allows creators to share unlimited music and podcast content for free.
This is probably one of the best tracks I've ever made for the game so far. Currently working on shaping up all of my compositions for the final release, thought I'd share this one and get some thoughts on mixing, arrangement and instrumentation!
The game is going to be set in space with some really tense combat gameplay, though we're actually thinking of reserving this track as a credits score, fits the mood well. Let me know what you guys think!
I've only been able to listen to this on my laptop speakers quietly, but that's sounding like a proper energetic little piece. I'm tempted to ask if you'd ever consider slowing it right down, whacking a shitload of reverb on it and turning it into a vaporwave track, because if done right I think that could work a treat (only if that's your bag, of course 😊).
Thanks for introducing me to audiomack too - I'm sick of spam and crap like that on Soundcloud so gave up posting stuff there months ago. Been looking for a replacement for a while but had never come across audiomack. I've just set up an account and hope it's a good place to share links from. It's not perfect and I'm not going to pay for a pro licence to get rid of ads but if it links nicely back to here for sharing demos without much hassle then that's all I want!
I literally can not use Soundcloud anymore cause it got blocked in my country a while ago. And since it doesn't allow Tor traffic, I'm just better off going for an alternative. It's honestly not even that great anymore, considering how bot-ridden it has become and the fact that "soundcloud rapper" is an actual meme speaks for itself. I haven't used audiomack much rather than to upload examples and stuff, but I really like that it has rigidly defined genres that you can search for. Soundcloud tagging system was a hot pile of garbage. I might even use it as a platform later on, I've stopped posting music a while ago and I want to get back into it.
I'll consider your idea to turn it into vaporwave, lol, sounds like something chaotic to do on a relaxed evening :)
I honestly have no idea, our government is known to love censorship for dumbest reasons. I don't want to be specific about it because I don't want to have these kind of discussions on my music accounts on the regular. Suffice it to say, it didn't make my life much different as I abandoned posting on SC long before that.
