Should I trust the financial times on this?
The FT report of US stance is most likely correct, though point is that US forces are travelling thousands of miles to do shows of force near China and then accuse China of being aggressive.
Reminds me of the term “defend forward” in the NSA’s lexicon. Made me laugh my ass off when I first heard it.
It's literally doublespeak, lol.
