I wonder if Christian can reuse Apollo as a Lemmy client and keep the project going
He addressed that a bit ago. That kind of undertaking would be pretty big, since the data structure on the back end is so much different. It’s not out of the question, but not something he wants to do right now.
Yeah, he definitely deserves some time off after this. But if he were to get around to it at some point he’d have a ton of users
oh, absolutely. I’m keeping the app installed in hopes that it makes a rebased comeback.
It would almost certainly be a new app, imo.
Take a look at wefwef (not a typo). It mirrors the look of Apollo and I love it here.
Wefwef is a web app that is a near carbon copy of Apollo. It’s how I’m browsing and it’s great. Much better than the web interface.
I’ve got that bookmarked and it is great, but I’ve been using Memmy for now. It does the slide for up/down votes (or whatever they’re called here) but a slightly different UI

I think he’s mentioned he doesn’t really have an interest in that right now. But I wish so too.
