So much of it feels downright...esoteric at times, like a bunch of magical rules and spells that are completely arbitrary and mysterious. The sheer amount of bending over backwards economics do to try and explain away stuff like the labour theory of value is astonishing.
Ok, this is just wrong in so many ways. An "economic lens" would call this a tragedy of the commons if it's legal in that society and attempt to calculate the damage through various means. Which would make the dumping far more expensive than proper disposal.
If you want to say from a micro economic perspective, considering only maximizing profit for the individual firm, ya. Economics isn't a blanket term for corporate capitalism.
