<1$ Rivet Hotswap mod of Anne Pro 2

I hotswap modded the Anne Pro 2 using cheap hollow copper rivets. Excluding time and solder, I spend less than 1 Euro. Good times!

Here are notes, some photos, and a store link to the rivets.

  • Why would you need this? I'm not trying to put you down or anything, I make stuff with questionable utility all the time. Just wondering what your internal rationalizations are. ;) Cool idea and the use of coppar rivets to make the connections is quite clever. Are the connections stable or have you noticed glitches?

    • The need is the same as any hotswap option, I suppose: To change switches without having to solder :D I had my fun modding it, and am selling it on, hoping someone new to the hobby can use it as a cheap base to experiment on.

There can be glitches in the connection to the switches, but nothing I have seen unresolved by slightly angling the switch pins before inserting them.

      • As good a reason as any. Keep it up. :)

Yeah, making fool proof hot-swapping isn't easy or cheap, usually. But good enough is good enough, especially for diy. The fun is in the making anyway.
