Glad to have you here! If you're not sure where to start then you could always share your institutional role (if any), field of study, and something interesting you're working on/reading/etc.
For example, I'm a PhD candidate in divinity studying at the intersection of disability theology and health law/policy (especially matters of funding). Something interesting I've been reading about for a project outside that sphere though is this wild thing from Anglo-American law (though mainly American law at this point) called the "felony murder rule." I've also been figuring out in doing that reading that law review articles can be crazy long (like 100+ pages sometimes)!

Hi all 16 of us! I'm a Research Fellow studying urban sound perception and the applications of machine learning in urban noise research.
Very cool! What field does that end up putting you in? Like, is it civil engineering, computer science, audiology, something else?
(audiology's a stretch but I thought it sounded better with three examples 😅)
It's acoustics! Some universities have a dedicated acoustics department although at my uni I fall within the Environmental Design and Engineering dept under the Faculty of the Built Environment. It's usually quite separate from audiology though. For the most part audiology falls under medical faculties whereas other acoustics disciplines fit into physics, music, built environment, or sometimes biology (for underwater acoustics and bioacoustics) depending on the focus and history of the department.
Yeah, that's why I thought it was a stretch! Sounds intriguing though
