Favorite albums?

What albums do yall listen to from beginning to end? There are plenty of artists and bands that I like with great songs but sometimes the album has filler in between the main tracks. Which albums do you feel like have little to no filler? I’d put up Chief Keef’s Finally Rich (debut album) Licensed To Ill by the Beastie Boys, maybe Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band by Beatles, Curtis (1970) by Curtis Mayfield and Cuba Libre by Carlos Puebla. What are your favorites?

  • Any album by La Dispute's Rooms of the House on back will pretty much never get a skip from me. Anti-Flag is also essentially my living anthem in band form.

    • Can confirm Anti-Flag is based

      • Absolutely. It's my go-to protest punk band. I was watching some live footage and I really wanna see them perform at some point.

    • YES ANOTHER LA DISPUTE ENJOYER

      • Every time I listen to them, it makes me want to write poetry and scream lol. I do need to give Panorama another listen tho.

        • Same. I use to write poetry prolifically, working on starting that again. Also working on making music -- I love to scream!

There's a creative writing community here if you ever feel inclined to share!

        • also also: I really recommend listening to Panorama with headphones or earbuds if you have them. A big criticism is that the mixing is shit and you can barely hear the vocals, but using my raycons that was rendered a complete non-issue.

          • I might do the headphone treatment today. I was listening to it yesterday in the car just because and my car speakers leave a lot to be desired.

I haven't creatively written in a long time but I can sub to that comm. I wanna start writing light theory related stuff right now but don't have the time. Maybe fiction short stories with socialist overtones might be fun.
