Thanks to everyone here for the suggestions. Key pitch is now 19mm, I've removed the top row and added a second index column.
I'm not really pleased with the arrow pad placement, but I haven't found any better place yet.

If you put the arrow cluster under a layer, you could use the right hand thumb cluster + one key on the bottom row. The layer could be activated by a left hand chorded keypress.
Yeah but I really like having physical arrow keys š
I've never been a fan of the vi-style keys.
I understand what youāre saying, but what I hear is āI want unitask keys that only do one thing, and are objectively harder to reachā. To me this lessens the effectiveness of this sort of build.

I always program my arrow keys to have PgUp/PgDn/Home/End, so technically they do two things š . I'm working on the layout and all of the layers are crammed already. I may have to abandon features tho, the way I see it I would need to free 8 keys on the function layer to make things work.
