I just got a phone call. It was automated "something something visa department regarding 2 transactions" then I hung up. Was that the smartest thing to do?
Yeah or don't answer them at all if you know they're phishing scams.
I said "Hello" that's it.
oh ok, I've gotten to just saying Hmmm? when I get mysterious calls or I don't say anything at all.
Smart. I don't normally answer them at all. I don't know why I did today.
I often answer if its unknown (a few family members like to set their numbers to unknown for work reasons). I should really stop answering even if Truecaller doesn't identify them as a scam.
If it was automated absolutely that is the right course of action.
