Just remember a few weeks ago people complaining about memes communities being overwhelmed with political content, so thought this one could use some promotion
Personally, I agree with the statement that politcs are invading a lot of memes communities. Just had a look at [email protected] (also, did we really have to keep that name), one meme was about a nice joke with a "made my boyfriend a goblin keychain", the top post is about Republicans claiming they supported Obama.
I agree that c/funny should stay separate. But I don't see a huge distinction between the content on whitepeopletwitter and microblogmemes. Might as well go with the name which is broader and less racially charged.
Haha, neither do I, really. These kinds of communities fall into the category of "five big websites all posting screenshots of the other four". I'd rather spend my efforts to grow more niche communities. :)
