Honest question, do hipsters still exist? I thought that went out like 5-10 years ago. I don't really see them anymore.
I thought hipster was essentially supposed to be someone vapid and style obsessed at any given time. Dandies would have been hipsters by my understanding. It's a focus on appearance and also whatever is a current trend of the times so they might also include interests or hobbies as well, the point is the term is used pejoratively because the interests or the style adopted by these people is considered surface level and inauthentic because it is primarily based upon the recency of widespread adoption of whatever it is.
A focus on appearance and current trends? My brother in Feist, you just described everyone under the age of like 40.
Edit: I guess Wikipedia says "modern hipsters" basically declined/disappeared around 2016-2017, which feels right.

Although, the one in Washington (state, USA, Earth, Solar system, Orion Arm, Milky Way, Local Group, Virgo Supercluster, Laniakea Supercluster, The Universe) isn't full of hipsters.

Yes I still see them in the PNW. It's not as mainstream as it was but these people were defined by being out of the mainstream to begin with.
Yeah I heard they always have burnt tongues because they eat all their food before it becomes cool.
