The Los Angeles City Council voted unanimously Tuesday to pass the “sanctuary city” ordinance, shielding queer youth who travel to the city to receive gender-affirming care from prosecution.
I don’t think the right will have a problem with this. They’re gonna sit back and hope we bit off more than we can chew. Can we please focus on fixing our housing problem next?
It's not lack of housing. There are 93,000 vacant homes in Los Angeles alone. That's enough to house every homeless person in the city in their own home, with 20,000 to spare.
Totally possible, but politicians say a lot of things. Firstly, Homan has to be approved. Second, he doesn’t control the budget. Thirdly, funding cuts have to be approved and can be challenged in court. Trump and team are not the all powerful evil geniuses they are being made out to be.
